I am always on the lookout for more book ideas. The Agatha Awards Website has posted their best book awards for 2008 for traditional mysteries. Here is the website
http://www.malicedomestic.org/agathaawards.html
This website describes traditional mysteries as “books best typified by the works of Agatha Christie as well as others. For our purposes, the genre is loosely defined as mysteries that: contain no explicit sex; contain no excessive gore or gratuitous violence; usually feature an amateur detective; and, take place in a confined setting and contain characters who know one another.”
"These works might be great for a book discussion group that wants to avoid some of the challenging content in the more hard-boiled type of crime novels." I think I might go try some of these mysteries.
