Library Loot

I learned about library loot from another great bookblog that I follow. I will write more about this particular blog later, but today I only want to do library loot.

Saturday we all rode to the library on our bikes. I told the children to bring their backpacks so they could bring their books home. I did not bring a bag for me. Brooke asked me why I did not have a bag. I said I was not going to get very many books. Ha! Ha! Famous last words.

All of my books came from lists that the library publishes. The first books are from the 2008 Discussion Books list.

The Dive from Clausen's Pier by Ann Packer and Maps for Lost Lovers by Nadeem Aslam.

My next books came from the Survival booklist from the library.

Left for Dead by Pete Nelson. Survive by Peter Deleo. The Long Walk by Slavomir Rawicz.

The next book came from the Nonfiction that Reads Like Fiction book list. And my last book came from the Reader's Choice going on right now.
You'll Never Nanny in this Town Again by Suzanne Hansen. Finding Nouf by Zoe Ferraris.

I have heard about a book sale at the Salt Lake City Library. If you pay $12, you can go on this Thursday, Friday, or Saturday (and possibly Monday) and buy books for $2 each. Then, on Tuesday, you can go (without paying the $12) and buy as many books as you can stuff into a grocery bag for $2/bag and you can buy as many bags as you wish.

I may not have every detail correct and I do not have time to check it out but that is the general idea. I thought you might be interested. It sounds like heaven to me!
