Great conversation

We met for our June book club earlier this week. We had some great conversation. We discussed the book Daughter of the Forest by Juliet Marillier. I was worried that we would not have enough to talk about concerning the book, but we did not have a problem at all. In fact, the conversation would often spontaneously break out into many excited side conversations. We touched many different topics besides discussing the plot and characters of the story; such as, war, rape, affirmative action, poverty, college, genocide, fairy tales, etc. (And I'm sure I missed some).

Daughter of the Forest is the first in a trilogy. The next two books are Son of the Shadows and Child of the Prophecy. Tonya has already started reading them. And I know many others expressed interest as well.

Great job, everyone! What fun! I had a good time and I hope everyone else did as well.

I give this book 5 out of 5*.
