library loot

I have tons of books at home to read but whenever I go to the library I cannot resist but check out more books. So here are the books I checked out this past week.

Three to Get Deadly by Janet Evanovich

I have started reading the Stephanie Plum mystery series by Janet Evanovich. They are very funny, but not for the faint of heart - lots of swearing and sex, but if you can skip past it - VERY FUNNY!

A Guide to the Birds of East Africa
by Nicholas Drayson

I know nothing about this book except is a reader's choice right now at the library. Also on the back it said "a book of immense charm; a sort of P.G. Wodehouse meets Alexander McCall Smith." I don't know who Wodehouse is, but Smith wrote the No.1 Ladies Detective Agency series books that I love!

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larson

I have heard lots of great things about this book in many of the book blogs that I have been reading. It just happened to be a reader's choice book at the library as well. I thought it was fortunitous that the book was just waiting for me on the shelf at the library! I am reading it right now. It has been translated from Swedish so I am having trouble with all the foreign names, but I am intrigued thus far.

A Lover's Knot by Clare O'Donohue

This is the first book in the Someday Quilts Mystery. What could be better than a mystery book about quilters? I am a little bit hesitant about the quality of the writing of the book, but it is worth a try.

It has been too long since I stopped by your book blog!

I am the same way--I cannot easily resist the temptation to bring home more books, no matter how many I already have waiting to be read.

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo is quite riveting. I just brought home the sequel, The Girl Who Played with Fire, which came out last month.
