As most of you know I am working on my master's degree in Library and Information Science from San Jose State University. The degree requires 14 classes and I have completed five thus far. The class I am taking this summer is Materials for Tweens. Tweens are kids from around 9 or 10 years old to about 13 or 14 years old. I decided to take this class because this age group is the one I am the least familiar with in terms of information needs - books, movies, websites, music, etc.
One of my assignments for this class is to write reviews on at least 50 tween materials. I have to write these reviews on a blog. I decided since this is a book blog I would use this blog. I hope that will not bother anyone.
I will tag these posts Libr 264 and tweens. Skip these posts if you so desire. I will continue to write our book club posts they will just be a bit more difficult to find!
(I just reread my assignments. I think I may not need to actually write a review for every single book. Just a basic entry for most of them. I sure hope this is true!!)

You are write 15 longer reviews for 35 of the items, and then you will also have to do full reviews for the 15 items in your final project - so of the 50 items total you will write 30 reviews (not to exceed 250 words, but definitely more than 150). 20 items can look like what you have going here in above posts already. Good start.
