Hi. My name is Tami. I am the author of this blog. You can contact me by posting a comment or emailing me at readaton@gmail.com. I am also happy to add you as a friend at www.goodreads.com where I keep track of everything I am reading.

I LOVE to read. I am pursuing my master's degree in library and information science at San Jose State University. Right now I mostly use this blog for class assignments.

No matter your reading tastes you will find books for you here. Enjoy!

Thursday Thereabouts

I do not know that I will do this every week, but at least every other week. So...

Currently reading...

A Map for Lost Lovers by Nadeem Aslam. I am on page 49 and it just isn't moving along the way I like a book to do. How long/far do you read before giving up? I was hoping to make it to page 100 and then decide. Maybe I will try for a few more days.

You'll Never Nanny in This Town Again by Suzanne Hansen. Just barely started and I am already intrigued. Now that is the way I like a book to flow.

Finished with...

Olive's Ocean by Kevin Henkes. I really enjoyed it. I will do a book review shortly. 4 out of 5*

Finding Nouf by Zoe Ferraris. Interesting book. I enjoyed reading it, but not terribly memorable at this moment. 3.5 out of 5*

Survive by Peter Deleo. This book was different for me to read because when I was not reading it I did not "crave" it. But as soon as I picked it up and started reading it again it was difficult to put down. The obstacles Peter overcame were nearly unbelievable. I absolutely would have died if it were me in those same conditions. 4 out of 5*

Tempted to Start...

I have so many books I want to read. I have a ton on nightstand and even more on my goodreads.com bookshelf. I don't even know where to start.

What about you?
What are you currently reading?
What have you finished?
What are you tempted to start?

Finished reading.......The year my son and I were born by Soper
Loved, loved, loved this book. At first glance you would think this is the tale of a mother who gives birth to a down syndrome child. It is so much more, it explores depression, the way we feel about IQs, what it is like to be a mormon mother (I had no idea it was an LDS author) how we raise our children, their worth and our own. I would recommend this to anyone who has or is thinking of having children, and its a easy read!
Currently reading
Philosophy by Law, do you know who is fun to discuss philosophy with...children, they are not rock solid in how they think and are able to explore alternative possibilities, I have enjoyed reading this out loud to my older children. I don't think I will finish it, due back at the library this week.
The Seat of the Soul by Zukav, my favorite modern day philosopher. He has a very peaceful way of thinking.
Tempted to start
