Angels and Demons

This past weekend Steve and I went to see the movie Angels and Demons which is the sequel to The Di Vince Code. I enjoyed the movie while I was watching it, but I don’t know that I need to see it again. But it had some interesting history and book archive themes. The movie takes place in the Vatican. It is neat to think about places that have so much history. The United States is really such a baby in years compared to the European countries. The main character played by Tom Hanks needs access to the Catholic Church’s archives a number of times during the movie. At one point he was looking at some of Galileo’s writings. Old books usually don’t interest me, but this was fascinating to realize books that are hundreds of years old are still out there carefully preserved.

Have you read the book and, if so, does the movie follow the book? I hate to go to a movie based on a book and find out it doesn't follow the book.

I agree with Marvelle, I have to go either book or movie. I rarely enjoy both. In this case I have already read the book so I doubt I will see the movie.

I have heard the movie is absolutely nothing like the book! I have not read the book. I have also heard from those who read DaVinci Code and Angels and Demons that they enjoyed Angels and Demons the most.
